Lorenza Berlanga de Jesús studied French Filology at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) and in Paris (Paris X-Nanterre and EHESS). She obtained her PhD at the UAM in 2001 with a doctoral thesis on French synchronous, declarative and argumentative linguistics. She was assistant professor at the Paris IX-Dauphine and has been a lecturer at the French Filiology department at the UAM since 2000. She has participated in numerous congresses as well as national and international interdisciplinary research projects, which have led to article and chapter publications in collective works. Her publication topics have covered argumentative semantics, declarative sentences, lexical morphology, discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, gender studies, and the acquisition and didactic use of both general and specialist French, amongst others.
